Meet our team
Gill Shepherd is our holder of the reins at Equindex. She was bitten by the horse bug when she fell in love with her first horse, a police horse on the streets of London at the age of 2. She pestered her parents into buying her first horse at the age of 14 and the rest is history. Gill, is a certified web designer and SEO expert and an expert holistic saddlefitter. She brings her wealth of horse knowledge, as an owner, rider, competitor, equine bodyworker, saddlefitter and educator along with her website and marketing skills to Equindex to provide the best online optimisation and presence for your business and services.
Neil Shepherd is our SEO Specialist and certified web designer and our Mr Fix it IT. If its broken or running poorly Neil will fix it. Neil understands how important it is for customers to be able to find all their horse needs in one place. Neil has been Gill’s number 1 stablehand, support crew, driver and shoulder to lean on for over 32 horse filled years and he’s seen it all from buying a hoof pick to travelling all over Australia with Gill in endless horsey pursuits.
Janet Forster is our main writer and the most experienced “horse person” on our team. She has been around horses since before she could walk. She has a lot of experience in horse nutrition and has been a horse breeder and judge for many years.
Suzie O’Leary is our marketing guru and office legend. Introduced to horses before she could walk by her Aunty Gill of course, she has a deep love of all things horse. Even though she has changed her seat to be in a different saddle now which is that of a mountain bike, she still lives and breathes horse.
You’ll get sage advice from showing horses, what gear you’ll need and how to groom, through to helping those new to horse ownership find the right four-legged friend for them.
We love nothing more than heading out on the trail with our trusty steeds and have a wealth of knowledge to share from our own experiences.
